Our Mission and Vision

“And he gave some, apostles; and some, prophets; and some, evangelists; and some, pastors and teachers; For the perfecting of the saints, for the work of the ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ: (Eph 4:11-12 KJV).

We purpose to build disciples of Jesus Christ by empowering people to walk out the Gospel and impact the world around them. Our vision is to gather, shepherd, encourage, confirm, and release into ministry those individuals God joins with us, as well as to develop, establish and oversee foundational expressions of Christian worship, training, prayer, and service.

Who's Holding Your Pen

Our lives are like stories being continually written as we live out the day-to-day choices we make. God has given each one of us a pen to do the writing with called our free will. Next to God Himself, our free will is the most powerful force in the universe. With it we can both choose God and reject God. This pen He has placed in our hands is awesome. It continuously writes, adding to our lives verse by verse, chapter by chapter, and book by book. The one with the pen is writing the story, so never give up your pen.

Circumstances will try to snatch it from you. People will try to snatch it from you. The government will try to snatch it from you. The world will try to snatch it from you. All around us are forces trying to pry the pens from our hands. Why? Because the one holding the pen is writing the story.

Am I saying that we are masters of our own destinies? Not in the human potential movement/religious science/Oprah kind of way, that places man at the center of everything. What I am saying is that God has given us a great opportunity to partner with Him in fulfilling His best for our lives. We can hold our pens and write into the story line He has laid before us in His Word, or we can hold our pens and write our own stories based on our carnal selfishness, or we can simply give our pens up and allow whoever and whatever to write our story for us.

Who's holding your pen? And what's being written? You do have a choice.
